It took me a little while to get used to the triangular shape of the D1 from above, as well as the slightly shallower face, but after around 20 balls it was immediately noticeable how straight this driver was when compared to my previous Taylor Made. I’m thinking of replacing my irons with Titleist and getting a Titleist rescue club, which I can hit pretty well. It will be difficult to determine if it has been used. I would suggest testing titlrist at the range AND on the course. Modern clubs give fantastic results, but quite hanker after ther old grear. With this driver I have found titeist has been going almost straight and titleist d1 907 even managed to get a bit of a draw going on. Even managing to titleist d1 907 a nice draw shot shape with it but not my old Nike SQ 5 wood!

Total distance was perhaps a few yards shorter than the D2, though both the distance and trajectory difference may have been a result of me teeing the ball just a bit lower to allow for the shallower face on the D1.

The Titleist D1 driver is suitable for beginners and those seeking more fairways. Also that 76g V2 shaft is awesome. John, Titleist d1 907 would recommend giving either a try but start with the D1.

My advice is, at least try it in a Range and you will see the results! For some reason, they just work the best for me.
